ABOUT ME
As you have seen through the landing page that my name is Eduardo Hernandez, but you can also refer to me as Eddie!
Currently I am an Master student about to finish up my degree in Information Technology Management.
Now how did I get into the world of tech?
Well, as any great story, let me take you back to my childhood.
I grew up in South East Los Angeles within the city of Bell Gardens. During that time, there was a great level of gang activity and illegal drug distribution within the city. Or in professional terms, there was an influx of illicit activities conducted by multi-facted professionals with a diverse background skilled at running "underground economies".
Choosing to not want to fall underneath those same patterns, I chose a different route during my middle school education. That was to launch a business at the age of 11, providing electronic services to students across my school for a fee.
Fast Forward eight years, and now I find myself at California Baptist University as a full time student, with two majors, one minor, and working full time as a technical analyst within the university. And yes I was very tired, but I learned so much within my educational career and within my professional career.
At California Baptist University I focused my undergraduate academic coursework on apologetics, theology, mass communication, public relations, organizational image management and team development.
As a double major undergraduate, I became particularly interested in the role that theology, technology, intercultural studies, mass communications, public relational skills, and high-quality education play in expanding access and opportunity for disadvantaged communities.
I have now chosen to couple my undergraduate degrees with a Master's Degree of Science in Information and Technology with a concentration in Technological System Structures and Project Management to help further that interest that arose within my undergraduate career. I additionally work as a pastor within my local church Immanuel Baptist, located within Highland California.
It is here at my church where I am additionally looking to learn how to establish resource centers within local churches and ongoing church plants, while working with key city stakeholders, to train individuals from disadvantaged communities to learn and operate computer hardware, manage software design/development/rollout and understand how to implement various network security policies/protocols in the purpose of utilizing those skills in the public/private workforce but also in the local church and their communities.
This is just the tip of the iceberg to who it is that I am, but I deeply hope it has sparked your interest towards wanting to know me further. If you would love to contact me please do so via email: eduardoh267@gmail.com or you can message me through LinkedIn! (< - Click)
